LEAX Group’s Science-Based Targets Approved by SBTi
LEAX is proud to announce that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved our near-term science-based emissions reduction targets. The SBTi is a leading organization that drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling companies to set science-based emissions reduction targets.
Our commitment represents a significant step towards a sustainable future. LEAX commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. Additionally, we commit to increase active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 67% in 2019 to 100% by 2030. Furthermore, we aim to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services by 55% per tonne of purchased goods by 2030 from a 2019 base year. Finally, LEAX commits that 100% of its customers by revenue covering use of sold products will have science-based targets by 2029.
These targets highlight our unwavering commitment to reducing our environmental impact and contributing to global climate action. We are excited to continue our journey towards a sustainable future.
