LEAX CEO leaves his position

Tony Nicol is leaving his role as President and CEO for a new job outside of LEAX. At the same time, Tony will move back home to Canada.

Tony Nicol joined LEAX in 2020 and has been President and CEO of LEAX since 2021. To ensure a safe handover, Tony will continue to work at LEAX during the spring of 2024, while the recruitment of a replacement is now underway.

“I would like to thank Tony for his valuable contribution as President and CEO of LEAX. Through his leadership and commitment, Tony has played an important role in successfully developing LEAX in recent years. Tony’s experience has been of great benefit to the company, not least the diversification of our end markets and the strengthening of our product portfolio”, says Roger Berggren, Chairman of the Board of LEAX.

“It has been very stimulating to lead LEAX during these eventful years. LEAX has a strong market position and a stable structure, which provides good prospects for the future. It has not been an easy decision to make, but the opportunity to move back to Canada and to new challenges weighed heavier,” says Tony Nicol.

The recruitment process to find a successor to Tony Nicol has been initiated. The company’s Chairman of the Board, Roger Berggren, will step in immediately as acting CEO until a new CEO is appointed. Deputy Chairman Lars Davidsson replaces Roger Berggren as Chairman of the Board during this period.
